How do I join the Michigan Federal Credit Union?
First, you need to find out if you are able to join the First Community Credit Union. You are eligible for membership if you are:
- A resident of Clio, Vassar, Montrose, Millington, Mt. Morris, Flushing and the surrounding areas
- Working with the areas mentioned above
- A federal employee or federal retired employee
- Related to a MFCU member.
You are also eligible for membership if you:
- Live or work in the portion of Genesee County, Michigan, bounded on the west by Sheridan Avenue (Route 13), on the north by Willard Road, and on the east and south by a line running along Washburn Road, from Willard Road, south to Coldwater Road, west to Linden Road, south to Corunna Road, and west to Sheridan Avenue, or in Arbela, Millington, Watertown, Vassar, or Freedmont Township, in Tuscola County, Michigan
- Are an employee of the United States Government agencies and instrumentalities located in the following counties in Michigan, (excluding U.S. Government employees included in the field of membership of Saginaw Postal Federal Credit Union and Saginaw V.A. Hospital Federal Credit Union):
1. Genesee County, Michigan Lapeer County, Michigan
2. Livingston County, Michigan
3. Saginaw County, Michigan
4. Shiawassee County, Michigan
5. Tuscola County, Michigan
- Mail contractors and employees engaged in transportation of mail for the United States Post offices located in the above stated counties.
